Maos da Prata Association

The Mãos da Prata, or "Hands of Prata" (short for Pratápolis) Association is formed of women from the south of Minas Gerais who are dedicated to the production of leather bags and accessories. Each bag is crafted by hand and designed by the group, who closely follow fashion trends. This group of enterprising and creative women is growing and becoming more and more important in the field.

"We live in a city of only 9,000 people and we believed that our association could create new jobs, especially for women. Our state – Minas Gerais – stands out in the world of Brazilian fashion, both for its jewelry and accessories. Our intention is to grow and sell our products throughout Brazil and now, through Novica, to the rest of the world. We are thrilled to know that women of other countries will be using our handbags and hope to hear your opinions of our work."
