"We live on the same street and our daughters are the same age. They began to play together and the idea of us crafting bags actually came from the girls. They used to buy paints to personalize pencil cases and school bags. Virginia is a talented and renowned artist so between her, our daughters' innocent creativity and I, we came up with a line of products designed for girls and teenagers that are vibrant and unique. Our products were so well received that we soon began creating bags for an adult public.
"I (Clarice) had experience in finances and had never actually sewn anything. I soon learned to sew when we began with this idea. It's all that I needed. I moved into this lifestyle and drowned in the creative universe along with Virginia and encouraged by our daughters. It was like occupational therapy and today I dedicate most of my time to the creation and marketing of our bags.
"We began to work at local craft fairs four years ago and now we have our own workshop. This allowed us to increase the variety of our prints, comfortably spreading the cloths and other materials we use regularly so we could better envision our designs before crafting the bags.
"The idea of mixing materials and colors comes from the notion that we are all made up of different parts that make a whole. Some people might think our prints are somewhat childish, but the reason behind this is to rescue the purity of each child before she gets lost as one grows older. We wish we could keep it safe somewhere in our hearts.
"That is how we created this bag collection, which is intended for those people who keep their childhood's pureness close to them. They are intended to generate different designs, colors, shapes, materials and above all, different emotions."
