Helbert Morais

"Hi I'm Helbert. When I was 17 years old I had a girlfriend who was in love with a designer handbag. I didn't have the means to get it for her, but I still wanted to please her, so I went to my dad's shoe workshop and I began shaping the bag. With the help of several people I got a really good result, and when I gave her the bag she was absolutely happy.

"From then on, I have enjoyed making bags, and I haven't stopped since. A boy filled with ideas, I wanted to take flight into a world I always dreamt of, which included traveling, and getting to know all of Brazil, which I love dearly. I wanted to explore the mines at Minas Gerais, which are filled with history and art. Again, I wasn't in the position to make these dreams come true, so instead I decided to listen to God's voice and follow my inspiration in designing and making bags. I was certain of this God-given talent, which is after all in my genes for I grew-up amid the artisans where my dad worked.

"Now I'm an adult and I have a more solid relationship. I have been married and I have a wonderful child called Thaís, who brings me so much inspiration. At the moment I feel fulfilled for having followed the path I chose.
