"I was born in 1971. Ever since I was in high school, I've been attracted by the idea of making works with my hands, which led to my parents enrolling me in ceramic courses as a means of distraction. But it was the beginning of what would be a clear inclination towards arts and crafts.

"I feel influenced by the cultural exigency inculcated in me at home by my parents, of course, who always maintained a broad association with diverse artistic manifestations. This was how I decided to study fine arts at the Pontificate Catholic University of Peru, and then get a master's degree as an art therapist at Cambridge in Boston.

"After being introduced to the weaving tradition of Ayacucho and my fondness for purses, I decided to introduce this aesthetic art into everyday life, not just in terms of functionality but also in terms of good taste and new proposals of color."
